The day after the gate was left open and the horse of the farmer ran away. The neighbor came around and said "How unlucky you are, your horse ran away!" The farmer replied to him saying "Maybe"
The day after the horse returned to the farmer and with it there was a wild horse. So now the farmer had two horses. The neighbor came around and said "How lucky you are, you have two horses now!". The farmer replied "Maybe".
The day after the farmer's son was caring for the horses and one of the horses hit him, and he broke his leg. His neighbor came around and said "How unlucky you are, your son broke his leg!" The farmer replied saying "Maybe".
The day after they came to recruit soldiers for the war and the son of the farmer was not chosen as he had a broken leg. So the neighbor came around and said "How lucky you are, your son does not need to go to war!" The farmer replied saying "Maybe".
Morale of the story - whatever it is you are going through maybe it is just the universe working out something for your better good. So just count your blessings
